DAoC Character Fixer Tutorial
Step 0: Please make sure that your Dark Age of Camelot Game application is sitting at the Character Selection Screen. If you are logged into a character and try to fix that character, the game will over right your fixed character file.
If your DAoC is sitting at the Character Selection Screen, proceed to Step 1:
Starting the Character Fixer:
Step 1: Click Start -> Programs -> DAoC Chat Fixer -> DAoC Chat Fixer, and Select which function you would like to perform.
-----: After selecting the "Start DAoC Character fixer" button, the Character Fixer Function will open.
Step 2: To Use the Default Exp Character setup, check the checkbox.
Step 3: If you do not wish to use the Default Exp character Setup and want to use one of your own from a current live character, please use the 'Select Server to Pull Char from:' and select which server your character is on and click 'Pull Char Files'.
Step 4: When you see the Select character list populate with Character names, please select the character you wish to use as a model.
Step 5: Now that we have a model character for a setup or the default setup selected it is time to select which character to fix. If you would like to fix 1 character file, select that character and click the 'Fix Character Chat Files' button (Recommended on the first time). If you would like to fix all of your character files at once, please select 'Fix ALL' and click the 'Fix Character Files' button.
Step 6: If everything goes right, when you click the 'Fix Character Files' button, you should see the character file names being displayed as each one is fixed. After all of the selected files are fixed you will see a count of total character files fixed.
Finished: Now that you have fixed your characters setup, you may now log into a character and check it out. If you make a change to you character setup and would like that change to be made on all of your characters, please go to the character selection screen and re-run this program to re-fix your files.
